HR Systems & Process Design

Development at Work Australia can help you to design HR systems and processes to implement your positive workplace practices and human resource strategy.

We can assist you to develop your positive performance toolkit, Strategic Human Resources Management Plan or Strategic Attraction and Retention Plan.

Have you completed an audit of your HR systems? Is anything not aligned with your employer brand or human resource strategy? Is anything missing? Need a new system or process designed based on positive psychology and best practice? We can work with you to review what you have and to re-design systems so they align with your employer brand and HR strategic plan.

What HR processes and systems do you need?

Here are just a few examples of some of the processes your organisation might need:

Job analysis and position descriptions

Competences framework

Organisational values – processes to identify them and to develop their demonstration in the organisation, so they are lived and breathed in daily practice (not just stuck up on the wall)

Processes around employer branding and employee value propositions

An effective recruitment and selection process

Assessment and selection tools

On-boarding and induction processes

Performance review, appraisal and performance conversations processes

Processes to identify training and development needs

Processes to gather employee information – such as intentions to retire, processes for succession planning and capturing employee knowledge, assessment of reactions to new programs such as redundancy programs

Workplace wellbeing systems and processes

Mentoring programs

Counselling support

Succession planning processes

Change management and redundancy processes

Exit interviews

We have helped organisations to review their current processes and design new ones that are more aligned with the organisation’s needs. If you would like in-house assistance to review and re-design any HR systems or processes – call Development at Work Australia for help on 0477 016 966.

Case Studies

We have researched and designed competency frameworks for a Telecomms company and a large SA-based Manufacturer and incorporated the competences into the organisation’s recruitment, appraisal and personal development planning systems. We identified key organisational values for a State government agency and incorporated them into HR processes. We have designed and conducted exit interviews for many organisations, including an advertising agency and a government agency, to help them understand why people leave and how they feel about their exit. We have reviewed existing HR systems, such as appraisal and development processes, and made recommendations for improvement. We have trained employees in the use of new systems such as feedback processes (engineering consultancy), performance conversations (hospital) and mentoring (interior fit-outs consultancy).
