We are a Social Traders Certified Enterprise

Social Traders connects certified social enterprises with business and government members. By activating the power of social enterprise procurement, Social Traders creates positive impact through jobs, community services and support for the most marginalised.
This means that through Outplacement Adelaide, a division of Development at Work Australia, we help people, who are at a disadvantage and ‘shut out’ of economic participation, to participate in the workforce and find work they want.
I have two mottos that inspire me and my work. “We Must Find a Way – or Make One”.

and “The best way to predict your future is to create it.”

Some people are shut out of economic participation because they don’t have job search skills or confidence to present themselves well in resumes/job applications or interviews. Outplacement Adelaide seeks to help job seekers in most need to overcome these challenges and we encourage collaboration and referrals from other service providers working with clients in need.
Outplacement Adelaide helps unemployed people who are most marginalised (including those facing and escaping homelessness, domestic violence and poverty) to identify a career path that suits them, identify roles to apply for and write an awesome resume so they can find a way or make one to win work they want.
Who can we help? Who can you refer for free help?
Anyone can refer people who are unemployed, keen to work and marginalised. Please refer job seekers who:
- are homeless or at risk of homelessness
- are escaping, or wishing to escape, domestic violence
- are refugees with the right to work in Australia
- are experiencing discrimination or disadvantage (including First Nations people, those over 50 and youth);
- cannot access other services to help them find work (such as those 25 year olds too old for youth programs or married people unable to get Centrelink help and benefits due to their spouse’s employment); and/or
- are from low socio-economic backgrounds with low financial reserves
Outplacement Adelaide provides 1-2 hours of free individual assistance to an individual in need each time we have a paying Outplacement Client. This may be face to face or via phone, email or online support.
We can also provide group workshops on-site at referring service premises.
Want to help?
Ask Outplacement Adelaide to provide outplacement services for your organisation, knowing others in need will also benefit.
